An investor is in advanced talks to rescue Vernon Catering, a 65-year old Dublin-based fruit and vegetable wholesaler that is currently in examinership. Despite the uncertainty of Covid-19 causing some rival bidders to fall away, accountant Joe Walsh, who was appointed as examiner to the business 70 days ago, informed the High Court today that a “preferred investor” was in advanced talks in relation to Vernon.
