Hallelujah choruses ricocheted around west Co Clare last week after more than €22 million in revenue from the Trump International Golf Links & Hotel Ireland was confirmed in Donald Trump’s election filing for the US authorities.  The managing director of the resort has yet to respond to my query about the period covered – but the €22 million is a measure of the Trump brand’s prosperity in Doonbeg.  Customers continue to praise the resort, although Trump’s standing in polls slipped when Kamala Harris replaced President Biden as the candidate when the Democrats’ spectacular celebrations in Chicago finished on Thursday.  Distracted…
