An expert regulatory report into a state-backed business angel network concluded that it “must obtain” authorisation from the minister for justice before carrying out certain investment activities.  A report by Aquest, the regulatory and compliance firm, into the well-known Halo Business Angel Network (HBAN) flagged a “series of potential areas where further consideration might be required” by the network. The Aquest report was completed on March 22, 2022.
