Vernon Catering, a well-known Dublin-based fruit and vegetable wholesaler, has been rescued from examinership by the Cox family, which has been active as a supplier to grocery stores since 1911. The examiner to Vernon, accountant Joe Walsh, has told the High Court that Thurles Wholesale Cash and Carry (TWCC), which trades as Cox’s Cash and Carry, has agreed to invest in Vernon, which is owned by Ronan O’Sullivan.
