Last week’s RTB report, covering 2024, and the latest Daft.ie Rental Report, out yesterday, confirm that the private rental sector in Ireland is in a poor condition indeed. The RTB report indicated that rents in new tenancies registered in the final quarter of 2024 were 5.5 per cent higher on average – almost identical to the 5.7 per cent increase seen in the 2024 Q4 Daft report.
