I bought my first EV in 2018. A second-hand 2015 Nissan Leaf. I loved it from day one. I got it in Northern Ireland for £10,000 and drove it home to Cork. It was quite the journey as the Leaf had a tiny battery, just 24kW. My range was about 120km, meaning frequent stops to recharge, careful driving, frustration with charging points as a novice and a just-in-time arrival to a charger in Lusk that left my nerves frazzled.  I was an early adopter, excited to try out this technology and curious about the climate, clean air and economic benefits.…
