Among the various facts and figures in the latest Daft.ie Rental Report, out this week, was one that was largely hidden away: the average rent now is about twice what it was at the peak of the Celtic Tiger in 2007.  There are some regional differences: In Dublin, rents are “only” 82 per cent higher than 18 years ago, while in Connacht-Ulster, they are almost 125 per cent higher.
