London and Malahide-based energy efficiency-as-a-service provider eEnergy has acquired British competitor Renewable Solutions Lighting (RSL) in a deal worth up to £2.2 million, it announced in a stock market notification. RSL, much like eEnergy, offers to replace customers’ lighting systems with low-energy LEDs and fund the purchase and maintenance through finance paid for by the reduction in electricity bills over several years. It has specialised in the school sector, completing 32 projects last year with an average contract value of over £50,000, according to eEnergy.
