Developer Johnny Ronan’s development company Ronan Group Real Estate (RGRE) has issued legal proceedings to secure the possession of the building which formerly housed the iconic Bewley’s cafe of Grafton Street. Ronan is the landlord to the historic building. Just weeks ago, its owners, the Campbell family, shut down the cafe for food, saying that there was a real likelihood that the cafe will generate substantial and unsustainable losses into the future.
