The India–EU Free Trade Agreement (IEUFTA), finally signed in January this year, has been billed as the “mother of all deals” by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. European Council President António Costa similarly hailed it as an agreement “of historic importance” and “one of the most ambitious ever concluded”.
