Danish multinational Orsted has announced the sale of its entire European onshore wind portfolio to Danish investor Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) as it concentrates on its offshore business. The total value of the sale will be €1.44 billion when it closes next quarter, according to a joint statement from the two companies. Orsted is a big player in Irish wind energy, having won a significant share of government renewable energy contracts since it entered the Irish market.
