Following global food giant Kraft Heinz a few days earlier, the Silicon Valley computer data storage maker Western Digital has appointed a liquidator to its subsidiary Sandisk Manufacturing Unlimited Company, declaring $2.1 billion worth of assets on the balance sheet of the company against liabilities of just $215,000. Sandisk Manufacturing had been the top holding entity for a group of eight companies in Ireland, Taiwan and Malaysia and recorded $8.6 billion in revenues last year.
