Seven days ago, the commercial law firm Ivor Fitzpatrick & Co dispatched a letter to 3 Burlington Road, the registered office for the Irish operations of New Look, the fashion retailer. Acting on behalf of the Isle of Man company behind the Jervis Shopping Centre in Dublin, Ivor Fitzpatrick was issuing a High Court action against the British owned retailer over rent. New Look signed a 20-year lease for its Jervis store in 2010 and its annual rent was €1.3 million as of 2014.
