Two Irish aircraft lessors linked to Saudi travel and aviation magnate Nasser Al Tayyar are being wound up after going inactive for several years. The two companies – Sara Aircraft Leasing and Tara Aircraft Leasing – were set up over a decade ago and have further links to an airline founded by Al Tayyar. Both companies have not filed accounts in over four years. The last filings for both companies state the companies’ purpose was to acquire a narrow body Airbus aircraft to lease to a client.
