On April 1, an announcement on the Nasdaq Stockholm revealed that Salix Group – an independent division of the publicly listed Swedish company Volati – had agreed to acquire Laydex Building Solutions, an Irish, family-owned business. Founded in 1995 by Ian Woods, Laydex has grown into a company generating close to €50 million in annual revenue, with an Ebidta margin of approximately 13 per cent, equivalent to around €7 million.
