Every Wednesday evening, the final print layout for the first five pages of Kerry’s Eye is decided upon and the whole paper, some 80 to 100 pages, is sent to the printers, ready for county-wide distribution the next day. They hold the decision on the five leading pages until the last minute – they don’t want to call it too early and have to rearrange things for a scoop.
