The High Court has rejected jurisdiction for a defamation claim brought by Irish businessman Ronnie Delany against Qatari royals and the Maybourne Hotels group, which owns Claridge’s in London. Delany was involved in property, construction and hospitality project-management work and worked closely with developer Paddy McKillen and Hume Street Management Consultancy (HSMC). Through that relationship, he became involved in Maybourne Hotel Group projects, including the Maybourne Riviera in the south of France and the Emory Hotel in London.
