NEW BRITAIN, Conn. —The city seal shows a beehive, seven bees and a Latin motto that translates to: “Industry fills the hive and enjoys the honey.” The bees represent the companies that helped build New Britain into a robust manufacturing town, and the busiest of all was Stanley Black & Decker .
