Greyhound Racing Ireland (GRI) officials received physical threats from a greyhound operator during a welfare inspection last year as the Department of Agriculture prepares legal cases over welfare concerns with some industry operators.  Concerns over welfare conditions in the industry came to the forefront after a 2019 programme from RTÉ Investigates.
