The operators of Rathwood, the insolvent Carlow-based garden centre that has left multiple customers in limbo on refunds on non-delivered goods, have apologised and blamed the situation on “events out of our control”. At a High Court hearing to confirm the appointment of an examiner, the company also categorically denied reckless trading and other corporate governance red flags said to be of extreme concern to the Revenue Commissioners.
