Harry Cassidy, the former managing director of collapsed broker Custom House Capital (CHC), has appeared in court in Dublin on a conspiracy to defraud charge. The 64-year-old was detained on foot of a European arrest warrant last May in Germany, where he had been living for several years. It is understood he was working in a language school. Cassidy agreed to return to Ireland voluntarily to face charges. He was in the country quarantining for a fortnight before today’s court appearance.
