Brian Fitzgerald has been named group chief executive of Charter Medical Group. Fitzgerald is leaving his position as chief executive of St Vincent’s Private Hospital to take up the new role. Fitzgerald joins the privately-owned healthcare services provider as it begins a €50 million investment in its hospital in Ballinderry, Mullingar, Co Westmeath, and advances plans to open a new facility in North Dublin. The North Dublin development, an ambulatory surgery centre, will involve a further investment of €35 million. Charter Medical also operates a medical facility in Smithfield, Dublin 7.
