In some ways, the block that connects Exchequer Street with South Great George’s Street in Dublin’s city centre has remained much the same over the past seven years. A hotel still resides where the Central Hotel once did. The Globe, one of the city’s longest-running late bars, is still serving drinks into the wee hours.
