Irish Continental Group, the owner of Irish Ferries, has received a management buyout offer to acquire the business for €8.00 a share, valuing the company at €1.2 billion. In a stock market announcement this Friday evening the company said that the board of Bluefin Bidco Ltd, the management buyout vehicle, and the independent directors of ICG have agreed the terms of a cash offer by the bid company which has been “unanimously recommended by the Independent ICG board”.
