The Private Security Authority (PSA) revoked 355 security guard licenses and refused 96 applications after discovering fraudulent training certification was used in security-guard licence applications. The PSA was set up in 2004 as the statutory body with responsibility for licensing and regulating the private-security industry in Ireland. It operates a standards- and qualifications based licensing system.
