A transatlantic healthcare group has completed the acquisition of the Orchard Care Group, one of Ireland’s leading providers of residential and fostering services for vulnerable children and adults. On Tuesday, Orchard’s parent company Sashington Ltd reported the replacement of directors representing its exiting largest shareholder, the Dublin investment firm TowerView, with appointees of its new owners, UK-based Cygnet Healthcare and its US parent Universal Health Services (UHS).
