The turning point was when a Disney Magic cruise liner pulled up along the quay and the public was barred from it for most of the afternoon. But really, there had been rumblings of discontent amongst the more civically minded in Cobh for a while. Signs had started going up that made them uneasy – private property signs, notices that the quay would be closed as long as cruise liners were docked.
