The Cork-based automation tech firm SimoTech, which serves the pharma sector, is being acquired by a US firm. The 15-year-old business, based in Carrigaline, notified the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) that it is being acquired by a US fund and its portfolio company Project Farma. The mechanics of the deal will see Project Farma, owned by another pharmaceutical process company called PerkinElmer, buy full control of SimoTech.
