A group of nine affiliates of Horse Sport Ireland (HSI), the insolvent national governing body for showjumping and equestrian sports, has launched a blistering critique of the body, arguing that it does not have the “required structure and specific skill sets” to drive the industry forward. In a statement, the nine affiliates state that Horse Sport Ireland describes itself as “Ireland’s governing body for Equestrian Sports” yet argue it has “no members to govern, volunteers to engage with or sport competitions to organise”.
