A €91,000 solar panel project at a Teagasc training college sat unfinished and non-operational for over two years due to installation issues.  The details of the spend are included in an audit of Kildalton College in Co Kilkenny carried out by the agricultural research body’s internal audit team and finalised in May this year.  The team identified that €91,350 was paid upfront on the project to install solar panels on the rooftop of a farmyard shed at the college which was built in 2023.
