Smart waste and recycling technology company Superfy, which is backed by serial entrepreneur Ronan Quinlan, has won a contract with the City of Melbourne to roll out 500 solar-powered compacting smart-bins. The contract will also see it manage 3,000 existing bins in the central business district, Southbank and riverside parks area of the city for five years after Superfy completed a successful pilot in Melbourne in 2025. The win comes as Superfy prepares to raise its first external funding round of €2 million to accelerate its international expansion.
