The Department of Agriculture recently made settlements totalling €3.7 million with Revenue for Vat and PAYE liabilities owed between 2021 and 2024. As The Currency highlighted last December, Revenue was in the process of carrying out a detailed review last year of department accounts to determine liabilities over the four-year period. The department initially made a prompted disclosure in relation to Vat owed for 2022 after Revenue identified a liability following an examination of its returns.
