A group of major European airlines have accused the Irish Aviation Authority of allowing Ryanair to profit by infringing EU ownership rules, at the expense of its competitors. In a High Court action, members of the European Network Airlines Association (ENAA), a trade association that includes Lufthansa, Air France and KLM, allege the low-cost carrier is in breach of Air Services Regulation rules requiring EU airlines to be majority owned and controlled by EU nationals or states for licensing purposes.
