The claims made by the disgruntled landlord creditors are stark and disputed. They allege the fashion chain New Look has made a wilful decision not to pay its debts as they fall due. Senior counsel Rossa Fanning, acting for the landlords, told a pre-petition hearing at the High Court yesterday that the Irish imprint of the company has around €15.6 million on its balance sheet which means it can afford to pay its rent debts in full if it wants to.
