In February, Revenue published a tender award for a mobile x-ray cargo scanner that can detect illicit goods coming into the country. The awarded supplier was Nuctech Warsaw Company Limited, a branch of Chinese firm Nuctech, which manufactures the likes of x-ray scanners and metal and explosive detectors for airports, border crossings and ports.
