Like commercial tenants, building subcontractors and pub owners, couch potato sports fans have been sucked into a legal dispute over the validity of clauses in commercial contracts.  The dispute is between broadcasters Eir and Virgin Media. And today, Virgin escalated it to the High Court, by instigating plenary action against  Eir.  It’s about live sports during Covid.
