The company operating Dublin’s best-known night-club Copper Face Jacks has launched legal action over commercial rates. Breanagh Catering Ltd, through solicitors yet to be entered on the file, issued proceedings on Friday against the Commissioner of Valuation, represented by the Chief State Solicitor Maria Browne. Commissioner of Valuation John O’Sullivan is the head of the government’s Valuation Office tasked with surveying business premises for the calculation of commercial rates levied by local authorities.
