Eleven years after Anglo Irish Bank was nationalised the remnants of the bank is now beginning one final courtroom battle. The case has been brewing since 2010 when the bank took action against one of its former senior executives, Tom Browne, over alleged debts of €50 million. Browne has, in turn, submitted a detailed counterclaim against the bank, rejecting its position.
