In the final years of the Celtic Tiger, he had invested heavily in a company called Webprint, which ran a printing facility in Mahon, Co Cork that cost €40 million to build in a joint venture with Thomas Crosbie Holdings Ltd. The printing press began printing TCH’s titles in 2006 including The Irish Examiner, The Sunday Business Post, and The Evening Echo.
