An overseas criminal gang hacked the data of one of Ireland’s biggest engineering groups a week ago, and demanded a ransom of between $1 million and $5 million to return the company’s data. The Irish company, which employs over 1,500, people declined to do so and instead hired cybersecurity experts to get their business back-up and running.
