An overseas criminal gang hacked the data of one of Ireland’s biggest engineering groups a week ago, and demanded a ransom of between $1 million and $5 million to return the company’s data.  The Irish company, which employs over 1,500, people declined to do so and instead hired cybersecurity experts to get their business back-up and running.  The gang is believed to have issued various threats to the company, which were not engaged with.  Jones Engineering Group, which has a turnover of over €400 million, instead appointed a team of cybersecurity experts to help it respond to the incident and…
