The Irish banks are all getting together to build a new payments app. AIB, Bank of Ireland, KBC and PTSB have formed a joint venture for the job called Synch Payments. Synch is going to provide instant payments. It’ll let people send money from their phone directly to other people or to companies, with the money landing in their accounts in a few seconds.
