The Galway builder Brian Conneely paid €3.5 million for Weston Airport in February 2013 when it was sold by a receiver over assets of the late developer Jim Mansfield. Now, it has emerged that the private consortium including the billionaire co-founder of Stripe John Collison is paying about €12 million for the airport, a significant multiple on the last price.
