Dunmore, a new pub business backed by a group of Irish investors, has closed the purchase of Walters Bar in Dún Laoghaire but pulled out of buying Charles Fitzgerald’s in the nearby seaside village of Sandycove, south County Dublin. Dunmore is also believed to be close to acquiring a second pub in Dublin 2 and is in talks with a number of other venues as the new business seeks to build up a portfolio of assets.
