Press Up, the ubiquitous Dublin hospitality group, has finally filed its 2019 financial results. The accounts cover the period from 1 Jan 2019 to 31 May 2020 — about 14 months of Covid-free trading, and three months of Covid. Over the period, the trading business trucked along at roughly the same speed as 2018. In order to compare with previous years’ trading, I divided the income statement by 14 (the number of trading months in these accounts before Covid hit) and multiplied by 12.
