Like many Irish people, I admire much about England. I support Liverpool Football Club. I love the passion at Anfield. Rugby is my sport. The clashes at Twickenham give special spice to every second Spring. I don’t follow cricket, but I marvel at the devotion of those that do. London is our World City. Of course, Dublin is always our beloved capital, but an hour away is our global metropolis. For centuries, London has been our gateway, our opportunity, and too often, our refuge.
