It was a long-running and rancorous internecine legal row that ran for a decade before abruptly settling mid-trial in February 2021. The epic legal dispute was between Tom Browne, a former executive in Anglo Irish Bank, and his former employer, later renamed IBRC after it was taken over by the state.  The case settled after a judgement in the sum of €30 million was entered against Browne, who also allowed his counterclaim against the bank be struck out.
