Greencastle Media Group, the private equity company behind Joe Media, came in for judicial censure recently before settling a row against the former hosts of the popular UK podcast, House of Rugby. Justice Fancourt of the English High Court levelled trenchant criticism at Greencastle chief executive John Quinlan and his lawyer Richard Taylor, a partner at global firm DLA Piper, for drafting witness statements replete with unattributed hearsay, speculation and commentary in breach of a new practice direction.
