In July 2021, the commission investigating the sale of building services group Siteserv to the businessman Denis O’Brien by the former Anglo Irish Bank issued a draft of its report to relevant parties. It was circulated 2,213 days after the commission was established, and it ran to a hefty 1,280 pages. The commission, led by Mr Justice Brian Cregan, gave the various interested parties until October 22 to provide submissions in relation to the content of the report. Some 12 submissions were received, and combined, they ran to 1,600 pages – longer than the draft report itself by some distance.…
