Bord na Móna has struck a deal with BOC Gases to make and distribute hydrogen from its Mount Lucas wind farm in Co Offaly. The state-owned company’s head of renewable energy, John Reilly, told the Wind Energy Ireland annual conference on Thursday that it had agreed to set up a joint venture with the Linden Group’s gas subsidiary to develop a 2MW electrolyser on its existing 84MW wind farm and produce up to 500kg of green hydrogen daily.
